Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs proudly welcomes our Fall 2021 TVL Accelerator cohort!

Since 2010, JBTVL has had the honor of working with some of the most innovative startups from across Texas in our TVL Accelerator. Participating companies create experiential learning opportunities for multi-disciplinary teams of graduate students in our unique campus-wide course, the TVL Practicum. These incredible startup ventures are able to leverage the high-impact consulting and market research conducted by their student teams to take their businesses to the next level. Our TVL Accelerator alumni companies represent a diverse range of industries, founders, and technologies which is again reflected in these 14 new portfolio companies. We are proud to announce the Fall 2021 cohort and look forward to working with them over the next few months!

Fall 2021 TVL Accelerator Cohort

Algo Dulce is a Mexican-American owned and operated business focusing on making high-quality products and bringing a taste of their kitchen to yours. With products inspired by their dad’s recipes, they are on a mission to make their favorite childhood dessert a staple in your household.

Applied Bioplastics decarbonizes durable plastics by using plant fibers to reduce petrochemicals used in multiple classes of polymer and composite materials. Harvesting fibrous plants and producing plant fiber-based plastic alternatives sequesters CO2 while creating mechanically superior products. Their material achieves price parity with the material it replaces.

At Ease makes it easy for federal and military personnel to choose the right short-term rental while traveling for job duties or bridging the gap during a move. Whether it’s an apartment, house, condo or hotel, the At Ease platform helps maximize reimbursements by cutting through red tape and federal travel regulations featuring federally approved property listings and expense reporting.

Blended Sense is a media-technology company for small business owners and creative freelancers. In a time where digital communication is an essential part of daily business, these two significant drivers of the US economy are at risk. Blended Sense technology matches creative teams to local projects and automates all of the production logistics from start to finish.

Concerto Commerce makes running an e-commerce store effortless with our unique cloud automation platform and central Product Data Warehouse that can automate creating an online store catalog and keep it up to date while delivering on the logistical integrations retailers need. We combine a world class shopping cart with a database of over 1 million products.

DanceFight is the first head to head video competition platform for mobile, starting with dance and then expanding to all kinds of content. As an Austin-based company with plans to expand internationally in late 2021, this incredible team has already achieved market leadership among the dance battle community with an engaging and expressive social platform.

Duality Health is a CHIME award-winning startup using AI-powered facial recognition and blockchain technology to accurately identify patients and link their electronic health records. Founded in 2018, Duality’s founders and employees are dedicated to making health care safer and more affordable for all.

Flourish helps women get healthy for good. Their unique approach is developed for women, by women and incorporates a shame-free, whole body health, non-diet approach. With a subscription membership which includes personalized coaching, evidence-based education, and community support, they help members develop healthy habits that last.

Grid Pathway is devoted to bringing new edge control automation technology to infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing and transportation sectors. With four patents already granted, they aim to enable disruptive technology adoption in regulated markets that currently control operations using legacy Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technologies.

Him For Her transforms lives by unlocking the economic and social benefits of diverse boardrooms. They bridge the network gap responsible for the sparsity of women in the boardroom by engaging business luminaries to connect the world’s most talented women to board service. Their new business extension will focus on board transformation for private companies.

OnlineMedEd is one of the most widely used medical education platforms in the world, playing a key role in creating the next generation of healthcare professionals. It is an end-to-end learning solution for both learners and institutions designed to emphasize understanding and retention, making learning more efficient and effective for medical providers.

SkyStations is creating a new category of mobility hubs to help professionals save time by catching an electric air taxi across town so they can make more moments. Operating at the intersection of automotive, aviation, and energy, SkyStations is positioned to play a key role in a market expected to reach $200 billion by 2040 and $1.8 trillion by 2050.

Stealth Power designs and builds idle mitigation and mobile cleantech systems that power fleets into the future. Their products are proven to drastically reduce CO2 emissions from vehicles.
