Meet our Council
Jack Fraker is the Vice-Chairman of CBRE and received his BBA at The University of Texas at Austin.
Straight out of UT, he worked as a cost accountant on the Alaska pipeline. He says he made "about 1/2 the salary of the welders but 3 times the average salaries in Dallas." After that, he spent a year in Midland and then took a job in Saudi Arabia on a one year contract. After Saudi Arabia, he worked in Belgium and Scotland.
Jack says he began his career in real estate because he had several friends in the business and he also had worked in construction as a young man.
He now has more than 25 years of real estate experience, specializing in the sale of investment properties for institutional clients. He has consistently ranked as a top producer nationally in investment sales.
He says one of his team's most recent accomplishments is their sale of approximately 85 msf of industrial real estate last year. And they are off to a good start in 2014 with 16 msf scheduled to close and 51 msf on the market.
In his spare time, Jack likes to read biographies. And he says he really would like to live in Austin again someday.
