UT Summer Audit Intern Position

The UT System Administration internship program is designed to complement students’ education with a career-related work experience.  Working in teams, interns will be assigned a UT System department and conduct a financial controls audit.  Under supervision, interns will lead entrance and exit meetings with clients, perform interviews, test to ensure internal controls are working as intended and write a portion of the audit report.

Interns are also able to participate in the Excellence for Interns program, which provides informal sessions with high-level leaders from a broad array of backgrounds. These sessions include presentations about UT System’s operations, discussion of career opportunities, and Q&A segments.

Interns should be a current college student with business related courses or major.  The program starts in mid-June and ends in early August.

While unpaid, these internships are still a great way to obtain solid audit work experience and gain an understanding of higher education and public service careers. We are very flexible with student schedules and work to ensure the internship provides an in depth opportunity to understand a career as an internal auditor.

If you are interested in applying for the position, please send your resume to Paige Buechley at pbuechley@utsystem.edu
