You are invited to the Fall 2017 University Lecture Series being held in Bass Concert Hall on September 11 and 12. Events are designed to help new students appreciate the value of research, critical thinking, and leadership at a major research university. The University Lecture Series is open free of charge to the general public, as well as all staff, faculty, and students at the university.

Events this year will showcase distinguished faculty who are leaders in their fields both on and off campus. On Monday, September 11 you will have a unique opportunity to watch and listen to two former UT Austin presidents discuss the major turning points in their lives that lead them to their important positions on campus. On Tuesday, September 12, focus will be on student health and wellness. More detailed information about the lectures can be found below and online at http://www.utexas.edu/ugs/uls.

You are encouraged to arrive early—doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. ***Please also note that Bass Concert Hall has a new bag policy and they will be checking bags at the door.*** Bag policies can be found here: http://texasperformingarts.org/visit/venue-policies
