The UT Austin Green Fee Program is a competitive grant program funded by tuition fee to support sustainability related projects and initiatives proposed by university students, faculty or staff.

Green Fee Committee
A student majority Green Fee Committee solicits and reviews proposals and awards the funds. Green Fee Committee responsibilities include the following:

  • Fall Semester: Attend monthly meetings to review and recommend changes or updates to program guidelines, application materials and scoring criteria
  • Spring Semester:
    • January – Participate in workshops offered to interested applicants (not mandatory)
    • February – Attend one meeting to review and discuss grant amendment requests from previously funded projects
    • March – Review grant applications associated with current funding cycle
    • April – Attend weekly meetings to review and discuss grant applications
    • May – Attend at least two meetings to finalize funding decisions

At Large Committee Member Application
The application is open to all UT Austin students. Applications will be accepted through November 30, 2016. Applications will be reviewed by the Green Fee Committee and kept confidential. Submit your application to greenfee@austin.utexas.edu. Submission of this application confirms your intent to work closely with the Green Fee Program Coordinator and other Committee members to schedule and attend all meetings.
