Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the Holbrook Scholarship awards! The fifteen Holbrook Scholars were selected from a combination of 3rd, 4th and 5th year integrated MPAs and traditional MPAs. This year’s recipients include:

The scholarship, started in 2014 by accounting lecturer Terri Holbrook and her husband Ed, provides scholarships for MPA students pursuing the taxation track or wishing to pursue an accounting career. It was their hope to help alleviate the cost for students attending McCombs. Each award ranges in size from $5,000 to $10,000 and eligibility is determined by financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the accounting program.

About April Stockwell

April is the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Texas MPA Program. She brings over 15 years of web development, online community and content management experience to the position. As someone who has been online since the early days of the Internet, April has seen the good, the bad and the ugly online. Using this experience and her knowledge of online privacy that she regularly conducts social media/web workshops to help students lock down and control their personal web presence.
