McCombs Team Takes Second at Deloitte FanTAXtic Case Competition
The University of Texas at Austin’s five-student team took second place in the 2015 Deloitte FanTAXtic Case Competition! Alexis Denis, Candice Dipaolo, Lindsey Koszela, Lauren James and Katie Stephens showed off their tax skills as they competed against nine student teams from across the country. Each student takes home $1,000 in addition to a $5,000 institutional award.
The competition, held at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas, involves each team working on a complex, issues-driven business tax case. The interactive case study competition includes role playing and presentations to help students better understand the types of experiences and business challenges they can expect from a career in tax. To qualify in the national competition, each participating team won the Deloitte FanTAXtic contest in their respective U.S. region. Prior to the final FanTAXtic competition held January 16-18, 2015, more than 77 teams from 54 colleges and universities participated in regional qualifier events held in 14 cities throughout the U.S.
Congratulations ladies!
