After 10 years of service with the MPA program, Vinh Nguyen is leaving for an outstanding opportunity within UT Austin. Vinh is joining the UT School of Nursing as its Assistant Dean for Student Services.

Vinh started with the McCombs School of Business in 2004 and joined the MPA Program Office to help start up MPA Career Services. Through his 10 years with us, he has been the consummate professional; producing outstanding career services events, advising MPA students and fostering new career services initiatives like our professional development program.

While we hate to see Vinh go, we are extremely excited and proud of this new opportunity he embarks upon. If you worked with Vinh for Career Services advising, please be aware that both Michelle Polkinghorn and Dawn Shaw will be available for advising appointments as will the Peer Career Consultants. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either Michelle or Dawn.

April is the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Texas MPA Program. She brings over 15 years of web development, online community and content management experience to the position. As someone who has been online since the early days of the Internet, April has seen the good, the bad and the ugly online. Using this experience and her knowledge of online privacy that she regularly conducts social media/web workshops to help students lock down and control their personal web presence. Regularly putting her and other's life experiences out there for others to learn from, she highly recommends all of you Google yourself and see what turns up. In her personal life, April is a ceramics artist, cyclist, reader and traveler.
