The PCAOB is seeking highly motivated students for paid, full and part-time positions for the Fall 2013 semester. Successful candidates will provide support to the PCAOB’s Office of Research and Analysis (ORA) in the Washington, DC headquarters. ORA identifies and analyzes emerging audit and accounting issues that may present elevated risk of audit failure, and communicates these risks to the PCAOB’s other divisions.

Responsibilities:
As an Intern you will have the opportunity to gain a broad overview of trends and developments affecting audit firms and their audit clients and experience professional life before you’ve left school. You will also learn about, and use, analytical tools and methods and gain experience that will make you more marketable to prospective employers.

During your employment you will be assigned a variety of tasks and challenging assignments that will allow you to develop and showcase initiative and problem solving abilities while developing your risk analysis skills. You will collect and analyze financial and non-financial information acquired from external sources or PCAOB oversight activities and conduct research and analysis using a variety of tools. At the end of the program you will have the opportunity to review your performance using some of the same standards used to review full time employees.

Positions are available throughout the year, but we are currently hiring Fall Interns. Candidates are encouraged to apply for start dates in August/September 2013 with internships to conclude by December 31, 2013.
