Responsibilities for a spring analyst will be the same as a first-year starting analyst.

Activities during your internship could include:
• Perform discounted cash flow, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis;
• Assist with a variety of analyses involving economic damages calculations, Monte Carlo simulations, and valuation of complex financial instruments, such as exotic options, interest rate swaps, and other derivatives;
• Research and analyze industry and company-specific trends and ratios;
• Review and analyze highly confidential documents relating to various transactions and legal disputes; and
• Participate in meetings with C-level executives, attorneys, private equity professionals, and accounting professionals.

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:
• Top MPA candidates with the desire and ability to take on significant responsibilities as a key team member on live engagements;

• Ability to synthesize complex problems and communicate simply in writing or presentation;
• High degree of maturity and confidence that permits you to effectively communicate with clients and co-workers in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment;
• Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem solving skills;
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word; and
• Outstanding academic record.

Other preferences include Business Honors, Mathematics and/or Statistics courses as well as prior/current work experience demonstrating initiative and superb work-ethic.
