Questions Answered: Internship Recruiting in the Spring – MPA Council

MPA Program Office and the MPA Council will partner to hold a Questions Answered: Internship Recruiting in the Spring workshop on February 6 (12:30-2:00 p.m.) in the CBA Special Events Room (CBA 3.304) to answer any questions you have regarding spring recruiting. You will hear from the MPA Program Office staff and from fourth- and fifth-year students who have been through recruiting and on fall/summer/spring internships. If you plan to participate, you need to take two actions to help us plan for you:

  1. RSVP through OCR (Events>Workshops> MPA (3rd-years) – Questions Answered: Internship Recruiting in the Spring ) by February 2 so that we know how much materials and food to have for you.  Limited space.
  2. Send (by February 2) me a list of questions that you would like to have answered at this workshop.

Camp Lonehollow seeks Counselors

Camp Lonehollow is an adventure camp for boys and girls. Lonehollow is seeking college aged men and women who have a passion for working with children, want to challenge themselves with new experiences, and will share their enthusiasm for adventure with boys and girls 7 to 16 years old. MPA Office Employment Opportunity

CCAs work closely with the Career Consultants to deliver programs and services to students in the MPA program.

The BBA International Programs office is hosting Passport Day for students, faculty, and staff to apply for or renew passports. U.S. Passport Acceptance Agents will be available to process applications and provide on-site passport photo services. Everything you need to provide is listed below. Bring your completed paperwork for fastest service, but the forms will also be available on-site.

Required Documentation

  • Completed application form you can print at http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html.  
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship (choose one of the following):
    -Previously issued, undamaged U.S. Passport
    -Certified Birth Certificate issued by the city, county or state
    -Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
    -Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
  • Verification of your Identity (choose one of the following):
    -Previously issued, undamaged U.S.
    -Previously issued, undamaged U.S. passport
    -Naturalization Certificate
    -Valid Driver’s License
    -Current Government or Military ID
  • Two identical passport photos, or $10 to have them taken on-site. See website for specifications.
  • Passport Fees: Pay with checks (preferred), or money orders only. Please note you need to make two separate payments!
    Passport Application Fee: $110.00 ($80 for a minor) payable to U.S. Department of State Execution Fee: $25.00, or $35.00 if taking on-site photo, payable to The University of Texas at Austin. Cash is also accepted for this payment.

Case Competition with Rothstein Kass
