Description: The International Finance Corporation(IFC),
the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, is a global
investor and advisor committed to promoting projects in its
developing member countries that are economically beneficial,
financially and commercially sound, and environmentally and
socially sustainable. IFC finances private sector investments,
mobilizes capital in the international financial markets, helps
clients improve social and environmental sustainability, and
provides technical assistance and advice to governments and
business in the developing world.

IFC is currently looking for several interns to be based in
Paris, France, to support its activities in Western Europe.
IFC seeks candidate with interest in (1) investments in the
agribusiness sector both through direct investments in the
sector and through financial and non-financial intermediaries
in developing countries; (2) investments in the financial
sector (banking, insurance, private equity firms and distressed
debt); and (3) private sector development in emerging markets.
Each intern may work across the different activities mentioned
above.

She/he will work closely with IFC’s Investment Officers, who
are responsible for the design, negotiation and structuring
of the Corporation’s investment projects. She/he will help
identify new business opportunities through industry, market
and regulatory research and support Investment Officers as
needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry, market and regulatory research and assist
    in IFC’s business development efforts;
  • Analyze and review company information(historical and projected
    financial statements);
  • Prepare reports on financial statements and other information
    (such as company management, ownership, etc.);
  • Possibly assist in portfolio valuation models for fund
    investments;
  • Assist with valuation models, e.g. developing pricing models
    for distressed debt valuation;
  • Prepare client documentation;
  • Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes; and
  • Prepare marketing documents and support client meetings.

Selecting Criteria:

  • Final-year students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
    with specialization in Finance, Business Administration or
    Economics;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and sound business
    judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical
    solutions;
  • Facility to work successfully in multicultural teams and
    across boundaries;
  • Strong client service orientation with an openness to feedback
    and new ideas;
  • Proven Excel and PowerPoint skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills; and
  • Fluency in English. Additional European language skills are
    of advantage.

Duration:

This is an up to 6-month remunerated internship starting in September 2011.

•Full-time fellows who are currently undergraduate students receive an $800/month stipend.

Be a part of the Accounting team for Lollapalooza, the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and C3’s other great live music experiences. 

We are currently looking for an Accounting intern for the Summer 2011 semester.   Requires  12 to 15 hours per week.  This is a paid internship. 

This position works on a variety of general accounting/administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, accounts payable/receivable, auditing, journal entries, and bank/cash reconciliations.  Knowledge of and experience with MS Word and Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting are helpful.  Must be organized, detailed-oriented, self-motivated, positive and a team player.

Job Description
Assist Career Advisor in tracking internship and full-time job offer data of undergraduate students
Utilize online offer system to create/manage Excel spreadsheets to track data
Track data in Excel spreadsheets, create pivot tables, and calculate percentages
Conduct quality assurance on data entered into online offer system
Conduct quality assurance on online offer system
Identify errors in online offer system and test fixes made by technology team
Update online offer system with new employer data
Investigate and fix errors in online offer system
Limited manual data entry into online offer system
Create reports on a weekly basis (audience: Career Advisors, Dean Gilligan, Faculty, etc.)
Generate on-demand reports weekly based on requests

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate Assistant Wanted: Student Career Services Resource Desk

BBA Career Services is looking for two graduate assistants for the Student Career Service Resource Desk

Purpose/Function
: To provide advanced skills in the front desk operations of the BBA Career Services office, which include assist with career resources and answer questions from the general public (both prospective and current students/employers).  Hiring needs: hire two GAs to work 20 hours each.

Duties :Direct student and employer issues to the appropriate staff person, help students resolve recruiting system issues.  Answer questions over the phone and from visitors. Provide recruiting statistics to prospective students, parents and employers for both intern and full time jobs.

Assist in supervising and training new student workers on daily operations of front desk and determining work priorities to assist the BBA Career Services staff. 

Assist office with various special projects including emailing students that are interviewing company research information, event registration, resume books and resume audits of all BBA students. Collect money from students for special events such as BBA etiquette dinners. 

Direct employers to appropriate recruiting support specialist and job boards for the various opportunities for internships and full time jobs.

Maintains confidential records; collect student new hire paperwork.

Receive and distribute mail. Type letters, reports, forms, and other materials from notes or rough drafts. Composes routine correspondence to employers and students.  Any other assigned duties.

Preffered Qualifications:
Knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher 
Strong attention to detail and customer service experience preferred
Ability to analyze and research information and work with confidential information
Must be currently enrolled as a Graduate Student at The University of Texas at Austin

Requirments:
