Position: Audit Staff Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX
Education: Bachelor’s degree or MS in accounting, or bachelor’s degree plus all required courses to sit for the CPA exam

Skills and requirements:

  • Computer literacy, including strong Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Knowledge of Hedge funds a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Audit Related Tasks
  • Engagement letters
  • Representation letters
  • Bank, Broker, Legal and Administrator Confirmation Requests
  • Capital Confirmation Requests
  • Completion of administrative checklists
  • Roll forward work papers from prior period
  • Audit work papers including (but not limited to):

Cash Reconciliation
     Broker Reconciliation
     Location Check
     Inventory observation and testing
     Fixed Asset vouching and roll forward
     Unrealized Gain/Loss Reconciliation
     Schedule of Subscriptions and Withdrawals
     Tracing of Fees and Accrued Expenses to General Ledger, Broker or Bank Statements
     Tracing of Subscriptions and Withdrawals to Bank or Broker Statements
     Realized Gain/Loss Reconciliation

Rolling forward Financial Statements and updating changes on Financial Statements

General Tasks

  • Scanning documents received from clients
  • Saving documents received via email/scanned into PPC
  • Updating investor information in Partners Portal

Tax Work Papers, including

Responsibilities:
Tax Related Tasks

  • Preparation of Hedge Fund Investment Partnership returns.
  • Preparation of Year End Tax Projections.
  • Calculation of Quarterly Estimates.
  • Tax research.

General Tasks

  • Create Adjusting and Federal Journal Entries for returns.
  • Reply to IRS and State Notices received on behalf of clients.
  • Scanning documents received from clients.
  • Saving documents received via email into PPC.
