Why did you choose the MPA program?
After I finished my first accounting class, I knew I wanted to study accounting, and let’s be honest – the rankings are hard to ignore! I knew that if accounting was the area I wanted to go into, this was the best program to be in.
What advice do you have for current students for getting the most out of their MPA experience?
Ask lots of questions! The accounting faculty is knowledgeable about a lot of different things beyond the course material they teach. I’ve learned a lot from professors, advisors, and other students just by asking a ton of questions.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
There’s a brick bench-type area behind UTC that I really like. It’s shaded, it’s usually pretty quiet, and it’s a quick, peaceful place to sit and take a break between classes.
