The 2nd annual Green Means Go 5K was a huge success, raising $4,000 for sustainability efforts at McCombs. The money will help expand the school’s recycling program by purchasing more of the large hallway bins for the UTC. Last year’s race raised $3,000, which was used for a light sensor project that was recently completed.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to register for the Green Means Go 5K Fun Run/Walk on Nov. 16 on the UT campus. Proceeds from the race will go towards sustainability efforts at McCombs, and many aspects of the race are green, including organic t-shirts for participants, limited electricity use and even recycled bib numbers [...]
