Financial Modeling Workshop for Students Sept. 29

The University Investors Association (UIA) and the Texas Analyst Association’s (TAA) are hosting a Financial Modeling Workshop Tuesday, Sept. 29. This is the first in a series of workshops to be offered throughout the semester. It will cover cash flow projections and a simple DCF valuation model, coupled with tips and shortcuts for Excel.

Dean’s Staff Meeting Offers Update on McCombs Downsizing

Dean Tom Gilligan is meeting with McCombs staff Thursday, Sept. 24 at 4 p.m. to discuss the recent announcement of a 5 percent staff downsizing. He will provide an update on the process and will take questions from staff.

Chinese Executive MBAs Learn Global Leadership Skills with Texas Executive Education

Texas Executive Education hosted a group of Chinese Executive MBA students from Renmin University Sept. 7-11 for “Leading in a Global Environment,” a program created specifically for them in partnership with Renmin.
The students were presidents, chairmen, managers and senior officials of Chinese companies representing industries including furniture construction, technology and advertising.
