Students Learn Cross-Cultural Teamwork, Management Skills at BBA Global Business Program

This summer 33 students, including two from McCombs, participated in the BBA Global Business Program on the UT campus. The four-week program brings university students from Austria, Brazil and China to build management skills and get intensive intercultural exposure.

McCombs Undergraduate Program Ranked Sixth, Accounting First by U.S. News & World Report

U.S News and World Report ranked the McCombs School of Business the sixth best business program in its 2010 survey of undergraduate programs. McCombs is tied for third among public schools, and this marks the 11th year in a row for McCombs to place seventh or higher in the U.S. News rankings.

Five Faculty from McCombs School Honored in Inaugural UT System Teaching Awards

Seventy-three faculty members from The University of Texas System academic institutions have been selected as the inaugural recipients of the Board of Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Awards and will be sharing $2 million in awards. Granof Named to Key Federal Accounting Board

Michael Granof, the Ernst & Young Distinguished Centennial Professor of Accounting, has been appointed to the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) for a five-year term that runs until June 30, 2014.
The FASAB is an independent organization that issues accounting standards for federal agencies and the federal government at-large to follow when producing financial statements. [...]

Texas Rises in Forbes Ranking of Full-Time MBAs

In Forbes magazine’s 2009 ranking of MBA programs across the country, the full-time Texas MBA was listed at 11 overall, and second among public schools. In the last ranking in 2007, McCombs was 14 overall, and third among public schools. 
This ranking is based on the MBA graduates of the Class of 2004, with 17,000 alumni at 103 schools taking part [...]
