The Insurance Council of Texas Education Foundation has awarded $28,000 in academic scholarships to 14 students of insurance at three universities in the state.
Scholarship recipents from McCombs are Alyce Arnick, Shuo-Li Chuang, Callie Hanks and Amie Sun. Pat Arnold, lecturer in IROM, said that the students from McCombs were extremely talented and had proven their abilities in previous internships and honors they had received.
“This is the seventh year that we have awarded scholarships to university students who have expressed an interest in an insurance and risk management career,” said Mark Hanna, a spokesman for the Insurance Council of Texas. “The accomplishments that these young men and women have already made are truly amazing.”
