CIBER Team Brings Home 3rd in Foreign Language Case Competition

Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) earned 3rd place at the Business Language Case Competition Nov.7 at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. The team earned a cash prize of $1000 from the event, which was co-sponsored by CIBER.

The team, coached by CIBER Associate Director and McCombs Professor Orlando Kelm included Business Foundations student Kyle Averack and UT students Ebony Jackson and Eduardo Gonzalez. The undergraduate competition features cases presented in foreign languages, and the CIBER team participated in the Portuguese competition. This year’s case in Portuguese was related to a company that produced powdered milk and had to make decisions related to which areas of Brazil the company would focus future efforts.
