Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, was a historic day at the McCombs School of Business. In the evening, the school inducted three prominent business leaders into its Hall of Fame (pictured above left to right with Dean Thomas Gilligan on far left): John D. McStay, McHenry T. Tichenor, Jr., and Louis M. Pearce, Jr. Leading up to the Hall of Fame ceremony, Ricky Berens (below with Gilligan), showed off the gold medal he won while swimming for the U.S. Olympic team in Beijing. Berens, a junior accounting student, spoke to the McCombs Advisory Council about the hard work and determination it took to achieve his goal of making the team while also attending school at McCombs.
