Students, faculty and staff are invited to register for the Green Means Go 5K Fun Run/Walk on Nov. 16 on the UT campus. Proceeds from the race will go towards sustainability efforts at McCombs, and many aspects of the race are green, including organic t-shirts for participants, limited electricity use and even recycled bib numbers for racers.
Last year’s run (which was unfortunately canceled due to hail) raised $3,000, which was used to purchase light sensors that can sense both sound and movement to decrease the amount of wasted electricity used throughout the day.
Registration is only $12 - sign up today!

I tried to register but online registration is closed or something? What’s the deal with that?

This posting was for the 2008 race, so that’s why registration is no longer open. You can check with the Undergraduate Program Office for details on this year’s race.
