On Sept. 22-27, Texas Executive Education, in partnership with Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, hosted a Leadership in a Global Environment program for Mainz executive MBA students. The students represented a wide variety of German and international firms, such as Accenture, Siemens, Capri Sun and BorgWarner.
This year’s program focused on business strategy, leading-edge leadership and communication practices, and the U.S. economy. McCombs and university professors John Doggett, Michael Brandl, Paula Murray, Kapil Jain, John Burrows, John Daly and H.W. Perry taught in the program. The group also visited Dell and Whole Foods, where they heard from industry speakers and gained insights into doing business in the U.S. The program finished with a glimpse into Texas culture and Austin’s unique flavor, courtesy of trips to the Broken Spoke, The Oasis and County Line on the Lake.
