IROM Professor Sridhar Seshadri won the 2008 INFORMS MSOM Best Paper Award. The paper is titled “Hedging Inventory Risk Through Market Instruments” and was chosen over 11 other nominated papers. Seshadri is a new faculty member who joins McCombs from New York University. He researches problems related to planning, coordination and optimization in supply chains; performance evaluation of queuing systems; and the impact of risk on operational decisions.
