Africa Rising by Vijay Mahajan, McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin

In his latest book, “Africa Rising,” Marketing Professor Vijay Mahajan introduces readers to Africa as a place of remarkable optimism and ingenuity with entrepreneurs and businesses working to create a better future for the continent. Crossing thousands of miles across many countries, Mahajan shares the lessons that Africa’s businesses have learned about succeeding on the continent…shows how global companies are succeeding despite Africa’s unique political, economic and resource challenges…introduces local entrepreneurs and foreign investors who are building a remarkable spectrum of profitable and sustainable business opportunities even in the most challenging locations…reveals how India and China are staking out huge positions throughout Africa…and shows the power of the diaspora in driving investment and development.

Just finished the book and I found extremely insightful and enlightening. Most especially the segmentation of Africa into Africa 1, Africa 2 & Africa 3.
