First Round Deadline Coming Soon For Working Professional And Executive Applications

Have you started your Texas MBA for Professionals and Executives application for Fall 2012? If so, keep in mind that this Friday, November 18 is the first deadline for those applications.

Houston MBA StudentsThe deadlines for these programs do not mark the end of a specific round, so there is no need to panic. Rather, these dates are suggested in order to give you a better idea of when to apply. The Texas Evening MBA, Texas MBA at Houston, Texas MBA at Dallas/Fort Worth and Texas Executive MBA programs employ a rolling admissions process, meaning that completed applications are reviewed in chronological order and not grouped in rounds. We encourage you to apply as early in the season as possible — that is as soon as you have put together a strong application.

Applicants can expect decisions 4-6 weeks after submittal of a complete application file. The Texas MBA for Professionals and Executives utilizes an invitation-only interview system. This means that the Admissions Committee will review applications and invite selected candidates to interview. The Program Office will contact applicants via email to set up the interview after the submission of the online application, resume, unofficial test score and unofficial transcript.

If you haven’t done so already, please visit the Applying to McCombs page for the specific program to which you are applying. Here you will find details about each different step of the application, more deadlines and other important information regarding the application process.

Still have questions about the application? Check out the Online Events page for the recent Tips and Tricks to the Application webinar and Admissions Office Hours chat. Both will provide an overview of the Fall 2012 application process and answer many of the questions that you will have about applying. The webinar and the chat are intended for all students applying to any of the Texas MBA for Professionals and Executives programs.

Good luck!
