Prepare for Your MBA Journey in the New Year

The final days of 2017 are here! Please note important MBA admissions dates below so you can stay ahead of events & application deadlines in the new year.

Holiday Hours

The McCombs School of Business will be closed for winter break from Friday, December 22, 2017 through Monday, January 1, 2018. Our offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Please contact us with any questions you anticipate before we close, as we will not be available during winter break.


Texas Full-Time MBA Announcements

MBA Student Coffee Chats | December 19 – January 6

Texas MBA students will be hosting coffees in cities across the U.S. and other countries to meet you for a casual conversation about life as an MBA student. We strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to get to know our program firsthand and ask any questions you have about the admissions process. Register now for a chat near you.

Round 2 Application Deadline | January 9

Apply to the Texas Full-Time MBA Program by the January 9th deadline to receive your decision before April.


Texas Working Professional MBA Announcements

Multi-Program Information Sessions | January 9-17

We will be hosting information sessions in AustinHoustonDallas, and San Antonio in January. Register to meet us and learn more about our academic structure, student culture, and what sets us apart from other programs.

Round 2 Application Deadline- Dallas, Houston, Executive Austin | January 30

Start or submit your application by the January 30th deadline to receive your decision in early March.

The 2018-2019 Evening MBA Application

Review the deadlines and process for next year’s application. Mark your calendar for important dates and plan to start or submit your application by the March 27th Round 1 deadline.

SXSW 2017 is almost here! The Texas MBA program is gearing up for panels, pitches, and parties. Register to join us at one of the many events happening around Austin, and follow the conversation at #WhyMcCombs.

McCombs Entrepreneurship Night

Kick off SXSW 2017 with the Texas MBA and Texas MSTC programs on Saturday, March 11th, where you’ll have the opportunity to network with SXSW attendees, local entrepreneurs, McCombs students, faculty, and alumni!

This event is held at 3Ten ACL Live & is open to the public with RSVP. Priority access will be given to SXSW Badge holders, so be sure to arrive early. Due to capacity restrictions, RSVP does not guarantee entry.

March 15 PitchTexas MBA Pitch Competition Finals SXSW Badge or Wristband required MBA startup pitch competition hosted by the McCombs School of Business, the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship and the MBA Entrepreneur Society. Finalists will pitch their startup ideas at the SXSW Startup Village.
