Texas Executive Education hosted an open house at the new AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center Sept. 9. The event showcased the depth of Texas Executive Education’s capabilities and resources to an enthusiastic audience of current and future clients.
A forum on best practices in talent management kicked off the event. McCombs Management Professor Doug Dierking moderated the panel, which featured Mark Finger, vice president of human resources, National Instruments; Matthew Jones, vice president of leadership development and training, Essilor of America; Patricia Miller, executive vice president of human resources, AIG American General Domestic Life Companies; and Hans Wierda, director, Shell Project Academy, Royal Dutch Shell. The panelists addressed succession planning, training, performance management, culture and retention.
The panel was followed by presentations from McCombs faculty members Michael Brandl, John Daly, Vijay Mahajan and Ehud Ronn. Attendees also were treated to tours of the new facility, highlighting the sophisticated learning environment and advanced technological features that are now an integral part of the Texas Executive Education experience. Live music, delicious food and a convivial atmosphere rounded out a very successful celebration!
