BHP alumnus visits McCombs to share career advice

Cameron Lockley, a BHP/MPA ’05 alumnus, gave current MPA students career advice when he visited McCombs on September 27, 2011.

Lockley is the manager of two local restaurants, 34th Street Cafe and La Sombra Bar and Grill, and he attributes his success to his passions for the food industry and accounting. He told students that by finding an intersection between the skills they possess and what there is a need for, they will find success.

UT named the 35th Best University in the World

UT was recently ranked the 35th Best University in the World by The Center for World-Class Universities of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Tying with Duke University for 35th place this year, UT moved up three spots from last year’s ranking of 38th place. The list ranks 500 universities worldwide based upon six criteria, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prize and Fields Medals, the number of articles published in journals of Nature and Science, and the per capita performance with respect to the size of the institution.
