April 15th – “Professionals in Consulting” Alumni Dinner

The Texas Analyst Association is hosting on “Professionals in Consulting” Alumni Dinner on April 15th from 6:00–8:30 p.m. in the Texas Governor’s Room 3.116 in the Union. This event will provide you the opportunity to network with consultants from various firms, who are also alumni of the University. The dinner will be a catered meal where you sit with the consultant of your choice.

We will have a keynote speaker give a short speech and a Texas trivia activity to facilitate conversation. A registration fee of $5 is required before admittance. Please visit our website www.TexasAnalystAssociation.com for instructions on how to register.

Apr. 8th – VIP Speaker Ahmed Mahmoud

Please join us as Dean Gilligan interviews Ahmed Mahmoud, Chief Information Officer of Advanced Micro Devices, on the many successes of his career. Ahmed Mahmoud is responsible for AMD’s global information technology strategy and the company’s IT assets. Prior to joining AMD, Mahmoud spent 13 years at Dell, where he served as Vice President of IT. Through his insight, students can gain advice on how to lead successful careers.

The event will consist of an interview given by Dean Gilligan followed by an open floor question and answer period. It will take place on April 8th at WCH 1.120. This event is open to all University of Texas at Austin students and staff, as well as the general public. Please arrive early as the event will begin promptly at 5:30. The series is organized and sponsored by the Undergraduate Business Council.
