Advising Notes: Important Dates and Deadlines for Fall 2009!

Welcome new and returning students! We hope you have a great first week of classes. Here are a few things you need to know and make note of:

  • Business Honors Academic Advisors CANNOT add students into closed classes.
  • On the fourth class day, Aug. 31st, departments drop students from classes who do not meet prerequisites. If you are in danger of getting dropped, you will receive a warning email!
  • On the fourth class day, Aug. 31st, at 5:00 p.m. waitlists are turned off, and you cannot be added into a course through the system anymore.
  • After the fourth class day, from Sept. 1st – Sept. 10th, only departments can add students into a course. You must go to the department offering the course to ask if you can be added.
  • Until September 10th, you can drop classes yourself through the Registrar.

Please realize that at this time of year Academic Advisors are inundated with e-mails. If you have a pressing issue, it is your responsibility to contact the department you need directly, or to call or come into the Business Honors Office for assistance.

To schedule an Academic Advising appointment, please call the BHP Office at (512)474-6325.
