Please encourage deserving students to apply, or consider applying yourself if you are a current student for membership into the Friar Society this Fall. The application deadline is Friday, October 14th at 5:00 p.m. to the Student Organization Center (4th floor of the SSB). The application along with more detailed information can be accessed here.
The Friar Society is the oldest, most prestigious honor society on campus, since 1911 we have recognized deserving students for their significant contributions to the University.
Tany Norwood Award Nomination
I also wanted to bring to your attention to one of our two annual awards and an exciting opportunity to recognize a deserving staff member/administrator! Please consider nominating a colleague, staff member, or administrator who has made significant contributions to student life on the 40 Acres for the 2011 Tany Norwood Award. Nominations are accepted from any member of the UT community, any currently employed UT staff member/administrator is eligible for nomination. Nominations are due by Friday, October 14 at 5:00 p.m. to the Student Organization Center (4th floor of the SSB) or via e-mail to me at cecilia.lopez@utexas.edu.
