The Supply Chain Management Center of Excellence has announced a new scholarship for the CIBER Supply Chain Management program in Hong Kong, S.A.R. 

 

Supply Chain Management majors or undeclared students who intend to declare a major in Supply Chain Management are eligible to apply. Three scholarships of $1000 will be awarded. The deadline for scholarship application is March 1, 2010 and the application is available through the Global Assist online application: http://utdirect.utexas.edu/student/abroad/globalassist.WBX

 

The program takes place during summer session I. Students will earn 6 hours of UT credit applicable toward their degree. Dr. Mike Hasler from the Supply Chain Management program will teach OM 335/OM 335H and faculty from the Chinese University of Hong Kong will teach a second course focusing on doing business with Asian suppliers. The program features visits to a retail store in Austin, a distribution center in Midlothian, TX, the international port in Long Beach, California, and a trip to mainland China to meet with suppliers. The deadline to enroll is February 15, 2010.
