October 26th, 2009 · Advising · Announcements · Leadership · Posted by Lauren Campbell

The peer mentor position offers exceptional students the opportunity to be both leaders on campus and mentors to new students participating in the First-Year Interest Group (FIG) program. Mentors share their knowledge about the many opportunities at UT and serve as guides to campus and academic resources. Mentors assist in facilitating a one-hour seminar, once a week for the fall semester, and are responsible for organizing educational and social activities to help students become better acquainted with each other, faculty members and the UT community.

The FIG mentor application for fall 2010 is now available and is due by Monday, November 9th. Information and an application can be found at: http://www.utexas.edu/ugs/fig/mentors/applying
