Students from across UT Austin are vying for over $12,000 in prize money in the McCombs’ Next Top Major competition, an online video contest where voters from across cyberspace helped decide the outcome. Thirty-six undergraduate teams entered the competition. Their mission was to create a 2-to-3-minute video promoting one of the nine majors at the McCombs School or the Business Foundation Program.
Two finalist videos from each category and two wildcard finalists were chosen through online voting open to students and the world. Come and cheer for your favorite video at the LIVE Showcase Showdown on Feb. 18th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in UTC 2.102A. Winning videos will be selected by industry judges, and winners in each category win $900. The Best Runner Up video will receive $1,800, and the Grand Prize Winner will receive $3,000.
