August 9th, 2008 · Alumni News · Giving · MPA News · Student News · Posted by Sarah Dooley

McCombs MPA alumni participated an alumni career panel during the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP). This program provides an opportunity for high school students to learn about diverse careers in accounting, from working at one of the Big 4 to the FBI. They spend a week in a university residence hall; meet faculty, business professionals and other students interested in accounting; attend hands-on workshops; and take field trips to Austin-area firms.  The Accounting Career Awareness Program was initiated by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA).  The program is hosted by the McCombs School of Business on The University of Texas at Austin campus through the continued generous support of Ernst &Young, LLP.  If you’re interested in particpating in the 2009 alumni career panel, contact bbaalumni@mccombs.utexas.edu.
